Hey guys updating you guys on this week. So this week was all about mailing out sponsorships and trying to get my name out there more. I had also planned to run over 100 miles this week trying to complete one of my first “hell weeks” in which I told myself to run 20 miles per day. I still to today have not completed a full week, I’ll get to wednesday or thursday with 20 mi a day and then be like rest… and then just do a 40 miler on the weekend to make up for the loss. So this week I tried making up a bunch of company proposals and going out to them in person just to discover that all of it is corporate and you just have to mail that stuff in. Me being an e-mail borne person have yet still to send those actual mail letters out. However I am doing this today most definetly. I was also trying this week to do a publicity stunt sometime at frogs where I run for 12 hours straight on a treadmill. However I tried running a marathon on a treadmill and discovered that I can make it to about 6 miles before I start losing my mind from boredom. So that was this week, if any of you guys know of any connections or anything that could help me out. That would be great if you could tell me. See you guys on the road!

We’ll I’ll never let it get this far behind again and I will have the site updated in the next two days. As I said my Sincere Apologies and thank you for keeping faithful!

Hey guys whats up? this week isnt quite over yet but I’ll put up another post on sunday probably after my official 50k (32 miles) race in Calico ghost town this sunday. So this week was final week at school and I have been resting/recovering from my 60 miler to get ready for my 32 miler this weekend (I am going to try to win or place in my age group). Anywho, this week I want to thank Pat Kumpan from the poway chieftan for helping me out so much and getting me an article in the poway newspaper! Awesome! and also I want to thank all of those of you out there who have donated or are going to! You’re awesome and your donations help me out a ton thank you! So on monday I got too see and hang out with Bundy for the first time in like forever it was cool, he seems like he is doing well, finally growing some facial hair back on like he used to be. I owe him a trip to the NCT downtown sometime soon also so me and him will probably go. But it is great to have him back around in poway and safe at home.

So sorry I’ve been out of writing blogs for the past two weeks been pretty busy with school work and finals trying to keep the GPA near a 3.8-4.2. So anyway, lets re-cap the 7th-13th of january. That was a fun and hard week of running. This is the first week where I experimented with the 20 miles a day thing. It kind of worked out, I found out that I can recover extremely fast like in 10-15 minutes after running 20 miles I was like wow!. So then that weekend not as exciting when I reached 52 miles because I didnt do it with a group. But on Saturday at 5 in the morning again I began my quest to see how long I could run that day because I had the whole day to myself. I originally set my goal to 75 miles to ready myself for a 100 miler I might be doing early february. Then after a hard 18 mile leg of the 75 miler around 12:00 noon I was beat, I ran it way too hard, way too fast. So I took it easy on the next couple of legs slowly climbing up in mileage until I was joined by my mom, sister and my friend Zach who helped me finish off the run to an even 60 miles which was really nice to get too, I would totally post the nikeplus report of it up however the nikeplus system has repeatedly failed me…apparently its not made for long distance runners but i wont get into that. So highlights again are my new PR is 60 miles in one run and that took me 9.5 hours where as last time it was 52 miles in 12 hours.. call me dumb for going fast but it was fun, just felt like someone had taken a hammer and beat the heck out of my foot..

I got sick or the flu or something stupid like that after the 52 miler last sunday and have been out of running until tommorrow when I am officially going to start up my routine again. The official date of my 50 mile run has been pushed back until January 12th from its previous date of January 5th. Thanks for keeping up and keeping faith hope you all had a merry christmas! -Nick

So this week was hell to make it through without dying of sickness and keeping up on my running at the same time. This week was 12/03/07-12/09/07 a week that shall forever live in lost miles… Monday I didnt run due to some project in school. Tuesday I was feeling like crap and didnt run. Wednesday i got mad at myself for not running and ran my 13. Thursday I did 13, friday I did another 13 and then on saturday I got together with Tomas my mentor over at mission bay park (beatiful area to go running in) and we did an 11 mile loop around that area which was absolutely gorgeous. Then we got back to his car and I still had 14 miles to go until I reached my 25 for the day. So I decided to ask Tomas how to get to RoadRunner sports where he works and he told me the route and said it was damn hilly but I decided to do it anyway. Man was it damn hilly (and then not knowing what I know now looking back again I ran that 25 miler completely wrong..) the balboa avenue hill is a beast! I dont suggest doing it on longer runs. Then the story goes like me getting lost somewhere in kearny mesa or something I ended up by the 15 freeway and by all the strip bars somehow..? I really didnt know where I was going but eventually i think after doing about 27 miles instead of 25 I ended up at Road Runner Sports sat down and was like damn.. I’ll get better directions next time. Thanks for keeping up with the blogs! and please make a donation today any amount counts! -Nick

Hey guys. So this was thanksgiving week which we had off school and that was awesome. Monday through wednesday I went backpacking with my friend Zach into the Angeles mountains and that was a strenuous but good time. Then on thankgiving I did 15 miles with my sister while she was on the bike through Rancho Penasquitos park. On friday I went in the morning to the beach and back with my friend Anthony. That run totaled 22 miles. It’s nice with all this running because I am now able to do like 22 mile runs like there nothing, next day recoveries and all. I am feeling that I will be well able to do this 50 mile run with no problem. As far as donations and sponsorships efforts go, they are in the works and I need to be attending more running and triathlon events. However if you live in San Diego there is an article of me coming out in this months issue of the competitor.

Hey everyone. Hope your all doing well and looking forward to thanksgiving. I know I am going to eat alot. So reagarding last weeks running schedule. I maintained my mileage throughout the week and stayed pretty consistently at 13 like normal t’was good. I run for the most part these days either on the 56 freeway bike path or in rancho penasquitos park (its like one of the few places that hasnt burnt). But anyways so my long run on saturday.. It was amazing. I had eaten well that day and the night before so I took off from my house at about two o’ clock and headed towards Rancho Penasquitos park, I ran through there, through mira mesa and back past poway into escondido a bit. Totaling it was 32.5 miles that is my new PR for longest distance ran yet!! It took me total of 4:45 (hours-minutes) which is not a great time but fine with me since i dont worry too much about time anyway. I was able to recover very quickly the next day also which was awesome and am now soon awaiting my 50 mile run which is soon coming.

Hi everyone, here to give you my weekly update. Now that the play I was in finally ended I was able to return to my normal running schedule. Man what a pain that was I split my runs into a short one in the morning and a longer one in the afternoon for the most part. So I made it through the week pretty well. Anyway so this friday all I thought I had to do on Saturday was run right? But no I read the date for the ACT wrong and it tommorrow!! I had no time to study and had to be there at 7:30 to take the test I had no Clue about it was terrible. Then about and hour after the test and some eating, I got myself together and just started my run at the time I didnt know if I was going to 12, 20 or 25 miles. Anywho at mile 13 I was feeling it and hurting like hell it was really annoying but I kept going and listening to music. Then on mile 20 and 21 (my wall) I started talking to myself or the wall I guess and telling it that I was going to beat the crap out of it and I did. Then here’s were it gets weird. On mile 24 if you have ever ran really long distance your legs get locked into like the same position, I moved them out of that position and did a couple high knees and then the right arcade fire song came on my i-pod and I took off at like a 5:30 mile pace. I was just smiling and laughing the rest of the run. That was the best runner’s high I had ever felt, it was probably from lack of water or brain cells or something but whatever..it was cool. So glad to keep you guys updated and see you on the road!
